Privacy policy

Newtonic collects almost nothing. Here is exactly what happens to your information. Effective 20 October 2026.

The short version

  • There are no accounts, no ads, no analytics and no tracking.
  • Your favorites, recently viewed simulations and quiz scores stay on your device.
  • If you buy Newtonic Pro, Apple handles the payment and RevenueCat confirms the purchase so the app can unlock Pro. Neither is used for advertising, and we never sell data.

Who we are

Newtonic is an app of interactive physics simulations for iPhone and iPad, made by Burak Gökyüz, an independent developer ("we", "us").

Information stored on your device

Newtonic saves your favorite simulations, the simulations you viewed recently and your quiz results on your device so they are there next time. This information is not sent to us. Deleting the app deletes it.

Purchases

Purchases are made through Apple's App Store. Apple processes the payment under its own privacy policy; we never see your name, Apple ID or payment details.

To check which purchases you have and to unlock Newtonic Pro, the app uses RevenueCat, Inc., a subscription service. RevenueCat receives a random identifier created by the app (not linked to your name, email or Apple ID), your purchase history for Newtonic, and basic technical information such as device model, system version, app version, country and IP address. It is used only to provide and restore your purchases and to give us aggregated sales reports. Learn more in RevenueCat's privacy policy.

Children

Newtonic is made for students of all ages. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone, including children, and the app has no ads, social features or third-party analytics.

Keeping and deleting information

RevenueCat keeps purchase records for as long as needed to provide your purchases and meet legal and tax obligations. To have the purchase records tied to your app's identifier deleted, email us and tell us roughly when you bought; we will delete them in RevenueCat. Deleting the records doesn't cancel an active subscription; cancel that in your Apple account settings.

Your rights

Depending on where you live (for example under the GDPR in the European Union or KVKK in Türkiye), you may have the right to access, correct or delete personal information and to object to how it is used. Because we hold almost no information about you, the easiest way to exercise these rights is to email us.

Changes

If this policy changes, we will update this page and its effective date. Significant changes will also be mentioned in the app's release notes.
